A student, Reggie Lahens, and Tom worked on this effects mixing interface. The music is from a track called "Butterfly wings" by the band Viewer. Thanks to Tim Wright for lending it to us!
It demonstrates the ability of the browser to support production activities, such as editing and time-dependent management of the effects applied to tracks in a mix.
The play and stop buttons below will play and stop a one-minute loop containing four clips (BFW_BASS.wav, BFW_HIGH.wav, BFW_KIK+HATS+SNR.wav, and BFW_VOCAL_PERC.wav). The plus button will add an “envelope” to the screen, where you can select a clip, an effect on that clip, and a parameter on that effect on that clip, and beginning editing the time-varying level of that parameter by clicking and dragging in the envelope.
I hope you enjoyed experimenting with this example.
